Reflection FAQs
-
Students who are unsure about their major
Students choosing between multiple interests
Students receiving “too much advice” from well-intended people and need clarity
Adults reassessing their strengths before either an academic career pivot
-
That’s exactly what this Pathway is for. Through structured assessments and guided reflection, you’ll uncover your strengths, interests, values, and learning preferences and how these lead to a meaningful college major and future career.
-
Reflection maps your strengths and interests to real academic programs and realistic career outcomes—potentially avoiding majors that don’t lead to meaningful employment..
-
Interest inventories, strengths assessments, guided questions, comparative analysis of majors, and real‑world career data.
-
Because colleges have dramatically expanded the number of majors (many not tied to employable career paths). Reflection helps cut through the noise and refocus on what aligns with you.
Reflection FAQs
-
Students who have already chosen a major
Students who want a clear term‑by‑term graduation plan
Students who are concerned about graduating late or overspending
Anyone transferring schools and needing sequencing clarity
-
University advisors often manage very large caseloads and cannot provide individualized planning. Also most of these advisors only specialize in providing assistance for students enrolled in their department, and cannot provide guidance on changing to another major. Dr. Tammy creates a fully customized roadmap with sequencing, prerequisites, and backup options in any college major.
-
Yes. The primary goal is to avoid costly scheduling mistakes that add extra courses, and provide contingencies for alternate coursework should a course not be available that results in a delayed graduation.
-
The Navigation plan adapts easily. Dr. Tammy recalculates your new degree requirements and helps minimize lost time. If your major change is part of a bigger shift—like transferring schools or making a full career pivot—she may recommend the Transition Pathway for more comprehensive support.
-
The plan includes alternate options and contingency strategies.

Reflection FAQs
-
Community college students preparing to transfer
4‑year university students switching majors or schools
Working adults wanted to go back to school or change careers
Anyone considering additional education or certification
-
No. This is a major misconception. Dr. Tammy can provide guidance that will accelerate your transition to a 4-year degree. You only need to demonstrate mastery of transferable coursework at the college level—you do not need the Associate Degree itself.
-
This Pathway includes assessment and counseling to determine whether you need a pivot, a resume refresh, or additional education.
-
Not always. Dr. Tammy explores cost‑effective alternatives like certificates, extension programs, employer-sponsored training, and internal mobility.
-
